Hospitality Services PDF Print E-mail
The peaceful, home-like atmosphere is a key contributor to the growth that participants experience at Featherock. The hospitality services staff which has taken the service profession to a higher level, is responsible for maintaining this atmosphere. In order for them to accommodate the doubling of the capacity and still maintain the characteristic Featherock atmosphere, the service facilities need to be expanded and improved. The necessary expansion and improvement of the service facilities will, in addition, make possible many programs that would benefit women from the community and beyond.

Training Programs

We will offer training programs for women that will teach them professional skills and give them experience in jobs in the hospitality industry and home management. The training programs will also promote the effort to live Christian virtues in and through the work being done. Trainees will work and train in the kitchen, laundry, housekeeping or dining room service of the conference center. They will also attend professional classes. Whether the trainees end up managing their own homes or working in the service industry, the attitudes, virtues and principles they learn will benefit many people.

Social Outreach

In addition to the hospitality service training, we will offer other programs to women in the community who do not have the resources to be able to seek these educational and training opportunities. Programs would include Nutrition, Health Care, Child and Elder Care, Home Management, and Basic Finance. We will also offer seminars in the areas of marriage, family and personal development.
